If you wish to gain an EFT Practitioner Certification and use this powerful method professionally, you can gain a metaTappingTM qualification. This is a higher standard than a regular EFT qualification but includes within it an “EFTi-accredited EFT Practitioner” qualification. EFTi (EFT Training International) is one of the largest professional EFT organisations in the world. Therefore on completion of the certification requirements you will gain two qualifications.
The metaTapping course and qualification was created as a response to many updates and improvements to the method in the last decade and huge differences in the skill levels of EFT practitioners emerging from the many variants of EFT training. We are committed to help create top-class, highly skilled practitioners and this next-generation metaTapping EFT certification is our response to that goal.
To gain certification described below are the minimum requirements that need to be completed. Sometimes, if your trainer feels you need additional practice or understanding you may be asked to complete additional assignments, supervision sessions (individual or group) or re-attend a live training session (at a 60% discount). But we want you to pass so we will do our absolute best to help you achieve this!
All the requirements need to be completed within 12 months of attending metaTapping Level 3 with the exception of the practice hours (see below for full information).
Over and above the cost of the live training, there are additional costs for the practitioner certification process to cover such things as support and case study review. Please see later for a full breakdown.
EFT Practitioner Certification Requirements
This course offers two qualifications-in-one. The requirements for certification are split into two sections - the EFTi certification and the metaTapping certification. See below.
EFTi EFT Practitioner Certification Requirements
- You will need to complete four case studies as follows.
- One of the Client Case Studies must be a live recording and follow-up discussion of a full EFT session. This can be accomplished by live, in-person demonstration (may be online) or be a video or audio recording. A write-up of the live session may be required at the Trainer’s discretion.
- Two of the Client Case Studies must be written accounts from multiple sessions (between 2 and 4) each with a single client.
- One remaining case study is a Personal Case Study – a written account of a personal EFT exploration that demonstrates a thorough examination of a personal issue, and includes how Core Issues were uncovered and handled (60 minutes minimum, with multiple sessions encouraged).
- You will need to have received 4 EFT sessions from a certified practitioner. However if you attend an optional supervised Practice Day , this counts as 2 sessions - or attending two practice days counts as the complete 4 sessions. You can also count against this any full EFT sessions you have had in the past with certified practitioners.
- You will need to have completed 6 hours of supervision in the 12 months prior to certification. We offer face-to-face Hertfordshire supervisions which are regularly scheduled, or online supervisions for those unable to attend in person. Exceptionally, we can arrange for you to attend supervision with other EFTi trainers who may be more local to you, but will need to communicate with them in advance of the supervision in order to receive feedback.
- You will need to pass a multiple choice EFTi online exam. This is done after completion of all 4 metaTapping training levels. To do this you need to join the EFTi as a student member (currently £25) and then take the exam (currently £15 for 3 attempts). Both prices are subject to change and are outside our control.
- You will need to have completed a total of 50 practice sessions across a minimum of 20 individuals. You can include within these your case study sessions, full sessions you run at the trainings themselves and any sessions you run at any Practice Days or Tapping Days you attend. It is important to practice on a variety of individuals as everyone is unique and responds differently to the EFT process and this experience is vital to develop confidence in EFT in the role of practitioner. Each session must be a minimum of 45 minutes. Even though all the certification requirements must be completed within 12 months, you may complete 25 of these practice sessions in the following year. Your certification can’t be awarded until all 50 practice sessions have been completed.
- Once having EFT Practitioner accreditation you can gain practitioner membership of the EFTi and have a practitioner listing. You will also need to attain 30 CPD hours each year (Continuing Professional Development) to remain a member as well as have 6 hours supervision. The CPD rules are very flexible.
metaTapping EFT Practitioner Certification Requirements
To become a certified metaTapping EFT Practitioner the following apply:
- You will need to have become an Certified EFTi EFT Practitioner.
- You will need to have successfully completed a set of assignments:
After each training level a set of assignments will be emailed to you together with a form to complete with your experiences (this asks just for very brief fill-in-blank-box responses). The purpose of these assignments is just for you to practice some of the ideas in your own time to create familiarity and understanding. Some of the full-session assignments can be used to fulfil the practice session requirements of the EFTi EFT Practitioner certification describer earlier. Indeed one of the purposes of these assignments is to help create a simple step-by-step path towards learning the technique and completing the EFTi certification requirements.
Practitioner Certification Costs
In addition to the costs of the live training, the following are the costs associated with the certification process.
Paid up Front: Set-up and Support
You need to pay £80 non-refundable up-front within 48 hours of attending metaTapping Level 1 (there may be a small amount of flexibility on this - please check with us). This enrols you in the metaTapping Certification process. If you don’t complete the certification process within 12 month of completing metaTapping Level 3 this is payable again and you will to be asked to re-attend one or more of the training levels (at a 60% discount). This fee covers:
- Our admin time setting you up as a practitioner-in-training and our certification-related communications with you in future.
- Technical EFT support during your certification process (via our Facebook support group if appropriate, otherwise via email or phone).
- Support with the assignments allocated after each of the 4 Levels of training (via our Facebook support group if appropriate, otherwise via email or phone).
Paid on Submission: Case Study Review
The following is paid only when you submit your case studies for review as below. If your trainer requires you to do additional case studies then you will need to pay for review again. However this is unlikely as any problems are likely to be ironed out during the post-training assignments.
- Review of your one-hour recorded case study review fee: £120 paid on submission.
- Review of each of the 3 written case studies @ £40 each: £120 paid on submission.
EFTi Online Exam and Membership (Student and Professional)
You can take the EFTi online exam only after attending metaTapping Level 4. You will need to pay for the following (note these prices are subject to change and are outside our control). .
- EFTi Student membership: £25
- Exam fee: £15 (you can take 3 times for this price, as of writing).
