Having EFT sessions is a profound investment in yourself and your future.
Peter is honoured to hold the space to allow you to expand and live your highest life. He runs sessions with warmth and patience.
Peter would love to work with you if you:
- are ready to take responsibility for yourself and your feelings
- appreciate that EFT is a relatively fast-working tool. If you prefer to take things slowly, a talking therapy may be more suitable for you. That said, even with EFT, you still need to address the various aspects underlying a problem, and there can be many sometimes.
- are committed to the healing process and appreciate that sometimes resolving sessions can take a number of sessions
Having a good relationship with your practitioner and feeling that EFT is the right tool for you is important. He usually suggests an initial session and you can then take things from there.
Likelihood in Getting Effective Session Outcomes
EFT works really well for the overwhelming majority of people.
After working with thousands of clients since 2004, Peter has noticed a small percentage of clients get lower success rates. If you find yourself relating to one or more of the below, it may be that EFT is not the best path to go along at this point in time.
- You must be open and willing to experience freedom from an issue you wish to work with; If this isn’t the case, EFT is unlikely to work well for you. This may sound silly but the following are situations where this is relevant:
- You have been sent along for a session by someone else. They may have had a good experience with EFT (or have heard good things about it) but it doesn’t mean it’s the best thing for you. If you feel coerced into having a session, and actually don’t want to let go of the issue that they say you have, then you will mentally or emotionally block it from working. It’s best to ask them to have a session instead to handle how they feel about the fact you have the issue. For inherited issues, this is often the most effective way forwards anyway.
- You need to keep the issue more than you want to let go of it. If you have something big to lose by overcoming the issue then another part of you will block success. An example is that you have an impending court case where you are seeking to get compensation from an accident. In this situation, if you overcome your trauma and physical pain before the court case, it will weaken your case. This will block the treatment working in most cases.
- You have a very strong issue of needing to keep strong and the thought of letting go of your emotions or issues somehow threatens that. This is likely to block or significantly slow the treatment working. To make headway it is likely you will need to address that fear first which could take a number of sessions as it can often feel like a survival issue.
- You have a very strong issue of needing to keep in control of your emotions. Everyone is affected by this to some degree but when it become very high it will usually significantly slow down EFT working rapidly regardless of what you use it for. Having said that, you may still make headway on minor issues, and also on deeper issues if you first address the fear of losing control. If you suspect this could be an issue, it may be a good idea to just have an initial session to see how you respond to EFT.
- You must be open and willing for EFT to work for you – even if you are sceptical it will.
- If you are cynical, which includes an overt or hidden agenda that you don’t want EFT to work, or the session to work, then it won’t. Unlike physical surgery, EFT won’t force change as mental and emotional barriers will come down hard and block it in its tracks.
- Chronic pessimism (as a personality “constitution”) tends to slow down or block EFT working effectively in many cases. This may not be a deal breaker, but will usually significantly slow down the resolution of deep-rooted issues. Of course, handling the cause of this pessimism may be a very good way to start working!
