EFT PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME (EPCP)
Becoming an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner
We are honoured to have certified many hundreds of EFT Practitioners from 5 continents over the past almost two decades, and they are making a huge change in people’s lives.
Being an EFT practitioner is deeply rewarding and gives the opportunity to help people part or full time, online or in-person.
We offer the EFT International EFT qualification, which, in terms of the number of qualified practitioners, is the largest in the world.
Our training exceeds the depth and coverage of the EFT International syllabus because we want to make EFT masters out of you!
What are the Steps?
There are two components to become an EFT International Certified EFT Practitioner. Each are paid for separately.
1 – Attend EFT Level 1 and 2 Live trainings.
These can be online or in-person but they must be live and interactive (although there may be a small amount of video training).
2 – Complete a set of certification requirements within 12 months of attending EFT Level 2.
These are reviewed by the trainers.
Certification Requirements
Here is a list of certification requirements. These need to be completed within 12 months of attending Level 2. One exception is the 50 practice sessions which you have an extra year to complete if needed.
1. Pass a multiple-choice test on the EFT International web site. We recommend you take that within two or three days after attending Level 2.
2.Attend a one hour 1-2-1 mentoring session within the first 3 months of completing Level 2
3.Attend two x 2.5 hour group mentoring sessions within the following 6 months of completing Level 2
4. Submit a recorded session with a client of 45-60 minutes, which ideally demonstrates the core issue process (or at least shows steps towards moving towards using this technique). This is reviewed together with one of the trainers. There may be follow-on assignments if needed. There is not normally a charge to review those, however if a completely new recorded session needs to be reviewed, additional costs will be incurred. We recommend submitting the recording soon after practicing your core issue sessions within your 50 practice sessions so that the process will be fresh in your mind.
5. Submit two written case studies on others, each being composed of 2-4 sessions of 45 minutes or more to be reviewed by one of the trainers. Note that after the case study reviews, there may be some assignments if the trainer feels you need to do some additional practice in specific areas. If a case study needs to be done again, there will be a charge to do that review.
6. Submit one written case study on yourself. This is a written account of a personal EFT exploration that demonstrates a thorough examination of a personal issue, and includes how Core Issues were uncovered and handled (60 minutes minimum, with multiple sessions encouraged). Again, this is reviewed by one of the trainers.
7. Receive four EFT sessions from a certified EFT practitioner (this could be one of your trainers or someone else). This can be retrospective (i.e. if you have already had 4 sessions in the past then this counts). This gives experience of what it is to be like to receive a session from an experienced professional as well as give a chance to clear any issues arising during the practitioner certification process. It is recommended to experience at least two different practitioners as each has their own style of facilitation. Note that the qualification of your practitioner must be that of EFT International, EFT Universe or ACEP. For others, check with us first.
Points 1-7 need to be completed with 12 months or you have the option to extend that time, by attending another Level 1 and 2 training with us (with a large discount) if available
8. Complete 50 practice sessions (you can include your case study sessions) across a minimum of 20 individuals. This is important as everyone is unique and responds differently to the EFT process and this experience is vital to develop confidence in EFT in the role of practitioner. Each session should be a minimum of 45 minutes. You can take up to 24 months after the completion of Level 2, to complete these. Please refer to the Practitioner Session Log (within the EPCP portal) for details for techniques required to practice.
EPCP Costs
After attending EFT Level 1, you can apply to join the practitioner programme. You can pay for this in full, or in instalments.
The payment (or first instalment) is paid immediately before or at the Level 2. There is a 7-day grace period so if you change your mind within 7 days of attending Level 2 you will get a full refund.
The following is covered as part of your enrolment fee:
1. Administration and support over the course of your certification period of a year. This includes the trainer’s time administering the practitioner process, and providing support either regarding the process, or on questions you have regarding EFT or specific clients.
Support is provided as follows - moving to the next level if needed:
1) Our closed Facebook support group,
2) Direct email support,
3) Scheduling a phone / skype call in more complex situations (additional costs may be incured)
In addition to that, you are encouraged to bring questions to the mentoring sessions.
2. Two online group-mentorings, each 2.5 hours, with others who are also training. The dates are agreed as a group using a poll. These will be scheduled within the first 6 months of attending Level 2.
3. One 1-2-1 mentoring of one hour. Taken within 3 months of attending Level 2.
4. Trainer review of your two case studies on others, typically taking around up to 4 hours of trainer time. This includes reviewing any assignments that are asked of you. If a complete new case study is requested which needs to be reviewed, then an additional £100 is chargeable for that.
5. Trainer review of your personal case study. As above, but this usually takes around an hour trainer time. If you are asked to do another one, there is a £50 charge for the review.
6. Trainer review of your recorded case study (in your presence, online). This normally takes 1.5 to 2 hours. If you are asked to do another one which needs to be reviewed, there is an additonal £150 charge.
7. Free membership on our Fast Track Professional and Personal Membership Programme until end of 2024. This gives you access to monthly group tapping sessions and our quarterly expert sessions (recordings of past expert sessions are available for your perusal).
Fast Track Practitioner mentoring and Practitioner Tapping Buddy Swaps will be added to your membership from Jan 2025. Until that point, you will receive your mentoring and arrange your tapping swaps with your fellow trainees from the course.
From Jan 2025, the quarterly cost of membership will be £95 which is automatically renews at £95 per quarter (you can cancel any time) and then includes 4 group mentorings a year, “Tapping Buddies”, monthly tapping sessions and expert sessions. Just doing this covers all the ongoing certified practitioner mentoring requirements as well as most of the CPD requirements to remain accredited. It is at these mentoring sessions that you learn answers to EFT questions you didn’t know you had!
Certification Enrolment Fee
For all of the above stated under ECEP Costs we charge £695.
Alternatively, you can pay this over 8 instalments of £87.
What is the Total Cost of Becoming a Certified EFT Practitioner?
Simply add together the prices of the following:
It's important to note that the trainers cannot provide a guarantee that you will automatically become a Certified EFT Practitioner. What you're investing in is the process itself, not a guaranteed outcome. However, the trainers are committed to supporting you to the best of their ability and will make every effort to guide you toward certification, especially if you're willing to invest additional effort.
In the event that they believe you might benefit from more personal development before assuming the role of a practitioner, they may recommend taking a period of time, to focus on that aspect before returning. Certain skills, such as establishing rapport with clients, may not come naturally to everyone, and it could be beneficial to hone these skills before embarking on a career as an EFT practitioner.
What if I Can’t Do the Certification in 12 Months?
You can extend the 12-month certification period by attending at least EFT Level 2 again (with us if we have dates and spaces available) as a refresher, and your 12 months starts again from the last day of second Level 2 training. Once you have enrolled in the certification programme, if you take additional time to complete the certification over and above 12 months then (apart from the cost of refresher training) there is no additional fee to pay unless the practitioner programme has increased in price in which case you pay the difference. As a disclaimer, although very unlikely, if we one day stop offering this programme, then we would endeavour to recommend other trainers to continue your certification process (with their additional costs).
Joining the EPCP
Becoming an EFT practitioner requires a certain readiness, as working with individuals and their personal challenges demands a high level of respect, sensitivity, safety, empathy, and well-developed listening skills.
Additionally, it's crucial that your trainer feels satisfied with your proficiency and confidence in facilitating EFT sessions. This assessment typically occurs informally during Level 2 training and mentoring sessions, both of which are part of the certification requirements.
If your trainer deems it necessary, you might be encouraged to spend some time practicing before entering the certification process. Many individuals have found value in attending multiple trainings as refreshers, gaining new insights and skills with each session. Some of our most accomplished practitioners have taken Level 2 multiple times.
If you aspire to become an EFT practitioner, it's important to inform your trainer of your intention before Level 2 training. This ensures proper support to refine your skills appropriately during the training. While perfection isn't expected, a certain level of confidence and understanding is essential.
There's also the possibility of undergoing a few weeks or months of EFT sessions with a practitioner or the trainers to address any issues that might hinder your progress, eg ability to hold space effectively. You might also be asked to attend additional mentoring with trainers. Both of these would be at your own expense.
In connection to this, please review the Section 7. Certification of Trainees in the EFT International Code of Ethics.
After Becoming a Practitioner
Once having EFT Practitioner accreditation you can gain practitioner membership of the EFT International and have a practitioner listing. You will also need to attain 30 CPD units each year (Continuing Professional Development) to remain a member and have 6 hours mentoring. CPD can be in anything that aids your work in your EFT practitioner role and can be reading books and watching videos. Our Fast Track Professional and Personal Development Membership Programme covers all the mentoring hours and most of the CPD hours, and if you don't cancel your student membership, you will
